Polnaszek, Brock (- 2013)
This past December, 2008 Thorp High School graduate Brock Polnaszek received
word that he had been accepted into the Doctor of Medicine Program at the
University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, beginning in
August of 2013.
“Our Admissions Committee was very impressed by [Brock’s] personal qualities,
life experiences, and academic achievements,” said Kurt Hansen, Assistant dean
for Admissions and Jane Shepard, Director of Admissions.
Out of over 5,000 applicants, the school accepted only 150 students, including
Brock. Brock is the son of Mark and Dawn LaGasse and grandson of Ray and Joan
Stroinski of Thorp.
