Lukstein, Reinholt August (23 June 1892 - 24 December 1967)
Reinholt August Lukstein, 75, of Greenwood, was killed in a car accident
December 24, at Arlington Heights, Ill. He had gone to Harvard, Ill, to visit at
the home of his son, Emil, and to receive treatments at the Veterans Hospital in
Madison for a broken hip suffered a year ago.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home and at
10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. Military rites will be in
charge of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post of Greenwood. The Rev. Philip Leinfelder
will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends may call
at the Hill Funeral Home beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Lukstein was born June 23, 1892, in Milwaukee. He went to Germany with his
parents as an infant, later returning to the United States and Chicago as a
young man.
He was married in Chicago April 21, 1923, to Wanda Kryzanski, who died June 29,
1964. He moved to Thorp in 1934, but returned to Harvard, Ill., in 1944, where
he was employed as a stationary engineer.
He retired in 1960, moving to Greenwood, where he had since resided. He was a
veteran of World War I, and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Rose Marie) Fitzl of Greenwood; a
son, Emil of Harvard, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
