Urlaub, Josephine (19 March 1893 - 29 December 1967)
Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine A. Urlaub, 74, of Neillsville, who died
December 29, 1967, at her home, were held Tuesday morning from St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Neillsville. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. Burial was
made in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Urlaub was born March 19, 1893, in Prague, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Cicha. She was married June 1, 1918, in Superior to
Joseph P. Urlaub, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Christian Mothers of St. Mary’s and St. Anthony’s Circle
of the P. C. C. W. A rosary service was held Monday evening at the Georgas
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Urlaub is survived by a daughter, Miss Lorraine Urlaub of Neillsville; and
by a son, Joseph Urlaub of San Bernardino, Cal. Other survivors include two
sisters, Mrs. Anna Drahota of Superior and Miss Emma Cicha of Prague,
Czechoslovakia; by a brother, Carl Cicha, also of Prague; and by five
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Eugene Walters, Jr., Tony Svetlik, Max Lukas, Francis Urlaub,
Ed Hainz and LeRoy Drahota.
People from out-of-town here for the funeral were: Joseph Urlaub of San
Bernardino, Cal.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Blair of Superior; Mrs. Anna Drahota of
Superior; LeRoy Drahota of Seattle, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Drahota of
Superior; and Mrs. Frank Hlavka of Superior.
