Peterson, P. D. (? - 31 December 1967)
Word has been received here of the death December 31, 1967, in Washington State
of P. D. Peterson, 81, a native of Curtiss and one time resident of the
Greenwood area.
W. H. Blum of Wenatchee, Wash., reported that Mr. Peterson died at the
Roslyn-Cle Elum Hospital after being stricken at his home the day before.
Born on a homestead near Curtiss, Peterson attended schools at Greenwood; he
graduated from Valley City Norman School and the University of North Dakota. He
served as superintendent of schools at Minot, N. D., for five years; then
attended the Palmer School of Chiropractic at Davenport, Ia., and practiced at
Spring Valley, Minn., for 13 years.
In 1928 he purchased the Miner-Echo, a newspaper at Cle Elum, which he sold in
1962. He was a life member of the Washington Newspaper Publishes Association.
Survivors are his wife, Lois; and a son, Lorin, who lives in Los Angeles, Calif.
