Sholes, Larry A. (8 SEP 1953 - 20 JAN 2013)

Larry A. Sholes, age 59, of Owen, passed away on January 20, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 PM on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield. An Elks Lodge of Sorrow Service will be held at 6:00 PM.

Larry was born on September 8, 1953 in Janesville, WI, the son of Ken and Donna (Ellis) Sholes. He was united in marriage to Sue Mech on June 28, 1975 in Wisconsin Rapids. Larry worked at Whitey's Bar in Owen, owned the 11th Frame Bowling Alley in Owen and most recently was manager at the Elks Lodge in Marshfield. He was an avid bowler and golfer.

Larry is survived by his wife, Susan, Owen; two sons: Brad (Anne), Rockford, IL and Brian (Nicole), St. Paul; two grandchildren: Hadley and Grace. He is further survived by his mother, Donna Schluter (Harold) Parker, Owen; a brother, Bob Sholes, Medford and a sister Sandy (Mike) Sobzack, Sarasota, FL; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ken.
