Hicks, Nancy S. (Marriage - 13 January 1968)
The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated at the double ring ceremony in a candlelight
service at 7 p.m. Saturday uniting in marriage Miss Nancy S. Hicks, daughter of
Mrs. Mildred Hicks of Neillsville, and J. V. Hicks of Newport News, VA., and
John L. Kendall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kendall of Rt. 2 Neillsville.
The bride who was given in marriage by her brother-in-law, Wayne F. Grap, chose
a white floor-length satin gown, the Chantilly lace bodice of which was enhanced
with long, tapered sleeves. The A-line skirt featured a lace front panel. The
back was completed with a detachable three-tiered train of white satin with a
border of Chantilly lace scallops. Her headpiece was a garland of white
gardenias that held a three-layer waist-length veil.
Miss Patricia Mech of Marshfield was maid-of-honor. She was seen in a gold
Brocade dress the skirt of which featured a yellow gold insert panel, topped by
an empire bodice. She wore a matching headpiece, and carried one large, golden
yellow chrysanthemum.
Manfred Weisgerber was bestman. Ushers were Martin Kapusta and Terry Holub.
A reception in the church parlors followed the ceremony.
The bride is employed in Memorial Hospital and her husband is employed in a
local store.
