North Grant (6 MAY 1915)
The young folks are now enjoying the May basket season.
The play given by the pupils of our school at the town hall drew a large crowd,
and was said by those present to be exceptionally fine.
Rev. Colman, in company with Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vine, took dinner at the Fred
Kier home last Wednesday, after which they attended the Ladies Aid, given by
Mesdames Jim King and Fred Vine at the home of the former.
Alma Pischer is quite ill since last week and Dr. Rath is in attendance.
Some two weeks since Mrs. Aug. Krause was taken very ill and Dr. Ross was
called. She is now gaining.
One day last week Alfred Schnable autoed down into Washburn and found some bad
roads. One mud hole proved too much for his car and he was obliged to hire a
team to help him out.
Mrs. John Krause is here caring for her mother.
