Miss Jovita Ann Ohlinger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold J. Ohlinger, route 2,
Colby, became the bride of Benedict Bernard Bauer, son of Mrs. Mary Bauer of
Catawba, Monday morning, Nov. 18, 1963, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Colby.
The bride was presented in marriage by her father in a 10:30 o'clock ceremony
which preceded the nuptial high mass, at which the Rev. John Pinion officiated.
The St. Mary's grade school choir sang.
For her wedding, the bride was attired in a ballerina length gown of white satin
that was designed with a scalloped V-neckline, long sleeves with points over the
wrist and a pleated skirt. A headpiece of white satin petals with white satin
roses held her short veil. Pink and white carnations were combined in a cascade
arrangement in the bridal bouquet.
Miss Marian Ohlinger of Marshfield attended her sister as matron of honor. She
wore a forest green faille dress made with a V-neck and street length pleated
skirt. Her headpiece was forest green and she carried a cascade bouquet of pink
and white carnations..
Anton Bauer of Catawba attended his brother.
The immediate families of the bridal couple were served a dinner at the home of
the bride's parents. They came from Catawba, Marshfield, Phillips, Wausau,
Curtiss and Colby.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Bauer left on a honeymoon trip, and on their return will
live on a farm on Ranch Rd., Catawba.
The bride is a graduate of the Colby High School. Her husband attended the
Catawba public schools and is a farmer.
