Storek, Helen Julie (1 January 1875 - 19 January 1968)
Funeral services were held Monday morning from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Neillsville for Mrs. Helen Julie Storek, 93, of Memorial Home, who died here
Friday. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. Burial was made in the parish
cemetery.
Mrs. Storek was born January 1, 1875, in Prague, Czechoslovakia. In 1899 she was
married in Czechoslovakia to Frank Storek, who died in 1944. The family moved to
the United States in 1903, locating in Chicago, Ill. In 1927, she moved to
Neillsville, where she made her home with a daughter and family.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Frank Simek of Wausau and formerly of
Neillsville; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Storek was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A rosary service was
said Sunday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: William Diercks, William Roehl, Art Kotchy, Garald Hart, Max
Lukas and Frank Zickert.
People from out of town attending the funeral were: Mrs. Frank Simek, and Mr.
and Mrs. Harold Gault and Edward of Wausau.
