Behrens, Fred J. (? - January 1968)

Funeral services for Fred J. Behrens were held Wednesday at Grace Methodist Church., with the Rev. Carl Booher officiating. Military rites were in charge of the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post No. 238.

Legionnaire pallbearers were: Cletus Susa, Louis Landini, Harold Hendrickson, Thomas Elmer, John F. Trunkel and LeRoy Fravert. Four granddaughters, Mrs. Roxy Jaeger of Milwaukee, and Marcia, Sue and Charlene Behrens of Big Bed sang, “Rock of Ages,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “A Prayer,” accompanied by Mrs. Don Warner at the organ.

Relatives attending from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Behrens and family of Big Bend; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Smith of Milwaukee; Jack Sullivan of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton McConnell and Earl Drueding of Ellsworth; Roy Newton and Robert Newton and son John, of Glendive, Mont.; W. B. Outhouse of Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. James Redgren of Menomonie; Edwin Behrens of Chicago; Harold Warner of Chetek; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mattes of Thorp; Mrs. Glen Zilk of Neillsville; and relatives and friends from Neillsville, Loyal, Withee, Thorp and Marshfield.
