Stutte, Annie M.
(03 JAN 1873– 22 AUG 1963)
Funeral services were held Saturday morning in St. Anthony’s Catholic church for
Mrs. Fred Stutte, 90, Loyal, who died at her home of old age complications at 6
a.m. Thursday. Rev. Norbert E. King
officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Member of St. Mary’s Altar Society attended in a body.
The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
A general Rosary service was held there Friday evening.
Pallbearers were all nephews, Frank Degenhardt, Leo Degenhardt, Loyal; Leonard
Degenhardt, Milton Degenhardt, Cashton, Norbert Degenhardt, Tomah; Wilbur
Eisenhut, Athens.
The former Annie M. Degenhardt was born January 3, 1873 at St. Mary’s Ridge and
received her education in the parochial schools there.
She was married on June 13, 1899 at St. Mary’s Ridge to Fred Stutte who
died July 17, 1962. The couple
celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1949.
Following their marriage they lived on a farm near Norwalk until March of 1909
when they came to a farm south of Loyal.
In 1937 they moved to the city of Loyal where they have since resided.
Mrs. Stutte was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ben (Clara) Clouse, Mrs. Alex (Hilda)
Loos, Loyal, and Miss Laura Stutte, Chicago; a son, Hugo of Loyal; 8
grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Bertha)
Eisenhut, Athens, and Mrs. Catherine Schweiger, Cashton.
Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
