Truax, George N.  (31 JAN 1890– 10 OCT 1963)

George N. Truax, 73 of Waukegan, Illinois died of a heart attack October 10, at 10 a.m.

He was born January 31, 1890 in the town of Sherman and farmed in the Spencer area.  He had lived in Waukegan for the past 20 years and was a member of Gages Lake Bible Church.

His wife, the former Sophie Commers survives him, as do three daughters, Mrs. George (Velda) Drake, Loyal; Mrs. Grizella Neil, Zion, Illinois; and Mrs. Roy (Evelyn) Hoover, Kirkwood, Missouri; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held at 10 a.m. at the Petersen Funeral Home in Waukegan.  Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waukegan.

Those attending from this area were Mrs. Joe Bizjak, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. George Drake and Mike and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Drake, of Loyal.
