Seltrecht, Daniel
(25 MAR 1956– 27 OCT 1963)
Daniel Seltrecht, 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seltrecht was fatally
injured Sunday about 3:30 p.m. in a corn chopper accident on his parent’s farm
near Gilmonton in Buffalo County.
The boy was said to have placed his hand on a platform used to move grain into
the machine and was drawn against the chopper box, suffering a crushed chest.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mondovi Hospital.
Daniel was born March 25, 1956 at River Falls.
The following fall the family moved to Gilmanton, where the father is a
vocational agriculture instructor and also operates a farm.
The mother is the former Donna Lulloff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Lulloff of Loyal.
Services were held at the Gilmanton Trinity Lutheran Church at Gilmanton at 1
p.m. Wednesday afternoon, with the Rev. Luther Bauer officiating Burial was made
in the town of Sherwood.
Surviving Daniel are two sisters, Lynette 11, and Maria 15 months; the paternal
grandfather, Henry Seltrecht, Nasonville and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Herman
Qualle, Neillsville. Another child,
James died in infancy.
