Mrs. Sadie Simmons, 88, of 500 E Fourth Street, Marshfield, died Saturday
afternoon at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she had been a patient for the past two
weeks.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home in Loyal.
The Rev. Clyde Brogan, pastor of the Community Bible Center in Marshfield
officiated, and burial was made in the Beaver Township Cemetery.
The former Sadie Dickson was born February 9, 1875 in Ashtabula County in Ohio,
and taught school in Ohio and Butternut, Wisconsin until her marriage to John P.
Simmons on December 25, 1903. Mr.
Simmons preceded her in death in 1959.
After their marriage the couple lived on a farm in Beaver Township for 50
years. The family moved to
Marshfield nine years ago.
Mrs. Simmons was a member of the Community Bible Center.
She is survived by a daughter, Miss Susan Simmons, Marshfield; two sons, Kenneth
of Marshfield, and Raymond, address unknown; and a sister, Mrs. Maude Westcott,
Ashtabula, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and two brothers.
