Clouse, Lee (13 April 1882-21 Aug 1961)
Lee Clouse, 79, died Monday morning at 1 a.m. at the Neillsville Memorial
Hospital of complications. He had been a patient there for six weeks.
The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Tuesday evening
until noon Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon,
August 24, at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral Home due to remodeling of the Loyal
Methodist Church.
Lee Clouse was born April 13, 1882 in Loyal and lived in the Loyal area for most
of his life. On September 20, 1906 he was married to the former Anna Vogel who
died on September 12, 1952. He moved to the city of Loyal fifteen years ago and
had been chairman of the town board, town of Beaver for fourteen years. He was a
member of the Loyal Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Hastings Baird of Greenwood, two brothers, Louis
Clouse, Taylor & Ira Clouse, Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Bert Young,
Loyal, and Mrs. Nellie Newell of Ohio; five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
A daughter preceded him in 1908 and two brothers and one sister also preceded
him in death.
