Froeba, Edward J. (15 JAN 1939 - 23 JAN 2013)
Edward J. Froeba, 74, Wausau, died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 under the care of
Ministry Home Care Hospice at his home.
He was born January 15, 1939 in Loyal, son of the late Albert and Irene (Bauer)
Froeba. On April 19, 1975 he married Margaret Ruff-Heinzen in Wausau. She
preceded him in death on January 27, 1989. On July 25, 2001 he married Judith
Anderson in Wausau. She survives.
From 1963 until his retirement in 1994 he was employed as maintenance supervisor
with Halliburton Inc. of Houston, Texas. Through his employment he traveled the
world, he then traveled the world twice for personal pleasure, all before the
age of 30. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, George Schreier Council
No. 1069, Wausau and served his country in the United States Army during the
Berlin Crisis. Ed was self taught and very talented in many areas especially
repairs and fixing just about anything as well as woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Judith, Wausau; two step-sons, Michael (Trish)
Heinzen, Milwaukee, and their daughter, Kayla; and Matthew (Ann) Heinzen, Wausau
and their children, Andrew and Tiffany; two step-daughters, Antoinette Acha,
Illinois, and her children, Koty and Jade Cargle; and Annette Boyle, Illinois,
and her son, Colin Boyle; "special daughter", Tracy (Tim) Rott, Madison and
their children, Hanna and Max; brother, Paul (Marie) Froeba, Beloit; sister,
Bernice "Bunny" (Bud) Rutter, Racine; three brothers-in-law, Lloyd Bohman,
Wisconsin Rapids, Bill (Vickie) Ruff, Henry (Polly) Ruff, all of Madison.
Besides his parents and first wife, Margaret, he was preceded in death by a
step-son, Mitch Heinzen, a brother, Norman "Butch" Froeba, and four sisters,
Alice Mittimiller, Isabella "Izzie" Nelson, Armila "Millie" Kraemer and Martina
"Tina" Bohman.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2013 at the
Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Wausau. Rev. William
Grevatch will preside. Private Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum,
Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the
time of services all at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
