Taplin, Lloyd P. (17 JUL 1877 - 14 JAN 1964)
Lloyd Paxton Taplin, 86, of Unity, died at the Leahy Nursing home in Abbotsford
Tuesday morning, Jan. 14th, 1964.
Frank Janko, minister of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiated at the funeral services
held at 10 a.m. Thursday morning at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby. Burial
was made in the town of Weston Cemetery.
Mr. Taplin was born in Dunn County on July 17, 1877, where he lived on his
parent's farm until 1897. He then learned cheese making and secured a cheese
factory in Fond du Lac County, and on March 20, 1907, he married Helda Denning
of Weston. Mr. and Mrs. Taplin came to Unity in 1916, where he made cheese until
he retired. Mrs. Taplin died in 1943.
Survivors include a son, Russell Taplin, Rhinelander; two grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry D. Taplin, Dixon, Mont.; and a sister,
Mrs. Henry (Leona) Henschel of San Diego, Calif.
Mr. Taplin was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers and a sister.
