Hopkins, Michael (30 May 1945 - 18 December 2012) With Flag
Michael Hopkins, 66, passed away Dec. 18, 2012, at his home in Congress, AZ.
Michael was born May 30, 1945, in Neillsville. He attended Neillsville schools.
After completing his schooling, he joined the U. S. Army paratroopers. Later, he
moved to Chico, CA, and worked for the telephone company. He decided to join the
Stockton, CA, Fire Department and retired from there. He bought a motorhome and
did a lot of traveling around the United States, including Alaska. Mike loved
sailing, skydiving, trap shooting and cowboy shooting. He loved the outdoors and
love spending time with friends and family.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jackie; brother, Bruce Hopkins (Marsha);
half-brothers, Melvin Gall and Gale “Baldy” Gall (Susie), sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol (Matheson) Gall Hopkins; his
father, Merton Hopkins; and sister-in-law, Pat Gall. He will be missed by all.
