Bremer, Marcus Anton (19 March 1935 - 25 January 2013)
Marcus Bremer, 77, of Granton died Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, in the emergency room
of the Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville.
Marcus Anton Bremer was born March 19, 1935, in Winona, MN, the son of Anton and
Molly (Moham) Bremer. He was united in marriage to Shirley Risser; they later
divorced. Later, he married Carla York Oct. 23, 2000. Marcus was very proud of
the fact that he milked cows for 72 years of his life. If you ever had a chance
to visit with him, you know he had a lot of stories he liked to tell and that
farming and hunting were his passions.
He is survived by his wife, Carla; four children, LaVerne (Janet) Bremer of
Peculiar, MO, Lorraine (Jerry) Rotering of Waumandee, Debbie (Archie) Wicka of
Orlando, FL, and Denise (Frank) Rolbiecki of La Crescent, MN; two step-children,
Heather (Jon) Andersen of Waukesha and Aimee (Scott) Iverson of Milwaukee; a
brother-in-law, Rex Mang of Milwaukee, nine grandchildren, four
step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marcus will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb.
2, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The celebrant will be Fr.
Varkey V. Joseph. Music will be provided by Ronald Resong, organist, and St.
Mary’s Choir. Interment will be in the Windfall Cemetery in Granton. Visitation
will be from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Catholic Church.
Casketbearers will be Frank Rolbiecki, Archie Wicka, Mitchell Rolbiecki, Matthew
Rolbiecki, Scott Iverson and Ervin Borntrager.
