Double Wedding
News of interest concerning two local young people, a sister and brother in
their recent double wedding in St. Stephens Lutheran Church, St. Louis,
Missouri, Miss Norma Wisnosky, Spencer to James H. cook, Oakland, California and
Miss Doris Meyers, Rockford, Illinois to Mr. Roy Wisnosky, also of Spencer.
Miss Wisnosky and Miss Meyers wore similar Navy suits with eggshell accessories
and had corsages alike. After the wedding, the coupes attended a dinner
together. Mr. and Mrs. Cook returned to Chicago where Mr. Cook is engaged in
business, Mr. and Mrs. Wisnosky to Spencer where Mr. Wisnosky will be farming.
Both Norma and Doris have been employed in Rockford, Illinois for the last five
years. Mr. Wisnosky and Mr. Cook served in the Armed Forces. Mr. Wisnosky with
the Army 36 mos., serving overseas 20 months in the Pacific with the
Anti-Aircraft Division, and Mr. Cook a captain in the 8th Army Air Force, served
28 mos. overseas in England and France.
The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best
wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
