Flynn, Arthur F. (1 July 1887 - 30 March 1968)
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home for
Arthur F. Flynn, 80, of Neillsville, who died suddenly Saturday at his home. The
Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was made in
the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mr. Flynn was born July 1, 1887, in the Town of Pine Valley, the son of James
and Ruane (Allison) Flynn. He was educated in Neillsville and later worked on
the Northwestern Railway at Altoona, St. Paul, Minn., and in South Dakota.
Returning to Neillsville, he was employed by the Neillsville School System for
25 years. On retiring he worked three years for the Badger State Telephone
Company. He was married on October 18, 1916, in Neillsville to the former Alice
Neverman.
Mr. Flynn is survived by his wife; two sons, John H. Flynn of Maryborough,
Queensland, Australia, and Thomas A. Flynn of Neillsville; and by seven
grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Eugene Langreck, Herb Smith, Silas Kleinschmidt, Kenneth
Short, C. E. Anderson and E. H. Snyder.
People from out of town here for the funeral were: Miss Gail Flynn, Mrs. Ronald
Buckli and Mr. and Mrs. Hartley Skeels, all of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. James
Flynn and Sue Flynn of Minneapolis, Minn.; Rita L. Youmans and Mr. And Mrs. Leo
Jackson of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. C. Balch of Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs. Silas
Kleinschmidt of Chili.
