Reeves, Henry W. (15 MAY 1895 - 17 JAN 1964)
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 21, for Henry W. Reeves, 68, of
Mancelona, Mich., formerly of Colby. Mr. Reeves died Friday at Memorial
Hospital, Kalkaska, Mich.
The Rev. Leroy Urman officiated at the services, which were held Tuesday at Zion
Lutheran Church, Colby. Burial was made in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Howard Rannow, Jake Frane, Conrad Orth Jr., Arnold
Strathman, Emmanuel Firnstahl and Milford Frome.
Honorary pallbearers included Clarence Nelson, Frank Goeltz, Ed Frome, I.M.
Firnstahl, Carl Laube and Rod Markus.
Arrangements were made by the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby.
Henry W. Reeves was born at Colby on May 15, 1895, and made his home here,
working as a barber until he retired eight years ago. In 1961 he moved to
Mancelona with his wife, Herta, who he married in Chicago July 9, 1927. Mr.
Reeves was a WW I Veteran and a member of the American Legion and VFW.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Herta Reeves; a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Patricia)
Miessner, Mancelona, Mich.; two brothers, John Reeves, Colby, and Harold Reeves,
Abbotsford; a sister, Mrs. Neva Harry, Colby; and three grandchildren.
