LaFee, Gerald (23 MAR 1891 - 25 DEC 1963)

Funeral services were held Dec. 29, 1963 at Long Prairie, Minn. for Gerald LaFee, a former Colby resident.

Mr. La Fee died Dec. 25, 1963 at St. John's Hospital, Browerville, Minn., after a year's illness.

The Rev. Oliver M. Schultz officiated at the services, which were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Gerald LaFee was born at Colby March 23, 1891. He married Clara Gums of Rhinelander in May 1924. Through the years they lived in Wisconsin, South Dakota and Minnesota, where he worked as a carpenter. He served fourteen months during WW I. The couple settled in Long Prairie in 1950.

Mr. LaFee is survived by his wife and their only child, Mrs. Wilbur (Geraldine) Gronewald of Park Forest, Ill. There are four surviving sister, Mrs. Ethel Higbee, Healdsville, Calif.; Mrs. Roscoe Wilkins, Orlando, Fla.; Mrs. Adolph Schlais, Medford; and Mrs. Morley Rowcliffe, Melvin, Ill.
