Ploman, Darlene (16 Sept 1961)

Darlene Ruth Ploman of Mondovi, a 1956 graduate of Loyal High School, and Larry A. Burlingame, a member of the US Marine Corps, were married Saturday, September 16, in the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Chili.

Rev. Warren Henderson united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ploman, Route 2, Spencer and the son of Mrs. H. Joseph Weber, route 4, Mondovi, and Wilfred Burlingame, Merrillan.

Attending the bride were Mrs. William Schrage of Wisconsin Rapids, as matron of honor, and Sandra Monroe, Mondovi, as bridesmaid.

Best man was Edward Beck, Rockford, Illinois, and Glen Ploman, Specer, served as groomsman. Ushers were William Schrage andJames Crawford.

Wedding day events included a buffet reception at the church parlors & a dinner at the Downtowner in Marshfield.

The bride attended Stout State College at Menomonie for a year before entering St. Joseph’s School of Nursing at Marshfield. She graduated from St. Joseph’s in 1960 and had been employed as a registered nurse at Buffalo Memorial Hospital in Mondovi.

Her husband attended Eleva-Strum Central High School and is presently attending aviation school at Millington Naval Air Station, Memphis, Tennessee. The newlyweds will reside near the air base.
