Sender, Mary (11 FEB 1964)
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Frane are making their home at Wittenberg.
The marriage of Victor Frane of Wittenberg, formerly of the Colby area, and Mrs.
Mary Sender of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), took place Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1964, at
Holy Family Catholic Church, Wittenberg, with the Rev. Jerome Watry performing
the ceremony before the 10 o'clock nuptial mass.
Attending the couple were the groom's daughter, Mrs. Mathias Allar of Colby, and
his son, Art Frane of Abbotsford.
For her wedding the bride was attired in a dark blue print dress and carried a
large bouquet of red roses and white mums.
After the ceremony dinner was served at Mr. Frane's home. The new Mrs. Frane
place her bridal cake in the center of teh table, flanked on either side by a
decorated wedding cake and candles to complete the table decorations.
Among the 50 guests at the dinner were friends and neighbors from the Wittenberg
area and the following relatives: Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Frane, Jeanette and Mary
Jane, Mr. and Mrs. Matthias Allar, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Frane, Mr. and Mrs.
Clement Apfelbeck, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Omelian, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Frane and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Frane, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Art Frane, Mr. and
Mrs. Clement Mech, Mrs. Florence Frane and Pat and Ronnie, and Mrs. Melvin
Schneider, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Kunty, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley
Baddgor, Medford; Ida Lavin, Doris Lavin, Jerry Faude and Mrs. Norman Jorgenson,
Withee.
Mr. Frane was a former cheesemaker and farmed one mile south and one and
one-half miles west of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.)
