Allmann, Lloyd (26 MAY 1911 - 14 FEB 1964)
Funeral services were held Sunday for Lloyd Allmann, 52, Stevens Point, a former
Colby resident. He died Friday at his home.
The Rev. Perry Salto of St. Paul's Methodist Church officiated at the services.
Burial was made in Forest Cemetery, Stevens Point.
Mr. Allmann was born at Colby May 26, 1911, where he received his education. He
moved to Stevens Point in 1935.
He served overseas for a total of 26 months with the army during World War II,
and returned to Stevens Point after the war.
On Sept. 2, 1944, he married the former Margaret Clark of Stevens Point.
At the time of his death, Mr. Allmann was employed as a driver-salesman for the
Portage Co. Oil Company.
Lloyd Allmann is survived by hsi wife; a son, William, and a daughter, Peggy
Ann, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Maurice (Hazel) Morgan, Fond du Lac, Mrs.
Thorwald (Lauretta) Nelson, Marshfield, and Mrs. Merl (Vinona) Cosgrove,
Faribault, Minn.; four brothers, Gerald, Wauconda, Ill., Charles, Libertyville,
Ill., and Edward and Lawrence, Colby. The funeral was attended by several
relatives and friends from the Colby area.
A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Allmann's name for St. Paul's
Methodist Church.
