------Pokallus, Arthur R. (1 DEC 1897 – 4 JAN 1964)
Arthur R. Pokallus, Rt. 1, Granton, died at the age of 67
of a heart attack at his home at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the
Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev.
Daniel Ahrens officiated. Burial was
made in Brooklawn Memory Garden.
Mr. Pokallus was born December 1, 1897 at Colby where he
received his education. He lived in
Colby until 1933, when he moved to Chicago.
His marriage to Lora Glendenning took place November 19, 1950, at
Marshfield. He was then employed at
Rollohome Corp., Marshfield, until two years ago when he retired and moved to
Granton.
He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran church and the
Sportmen’s Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two stepsons,
Edward Hayes, Los Angeles, Calif., and William Hayes, Marshfield, a
stepdaughter, Mrs. Clinton (Geraldine) Beattie, three brothers, Paul Pokallus,
Colby, Albert Pokallus of Marshfield and Henry Pokallus of Santa Anna, Calif.,
four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Rose) Kobs, Chicago, Mrs. Efert (Ruth) Logerquist,
Sister Bay, and Mrs. Lawrence (Evelyn) Priem and Mrs. August (Teresa) Nagel of
Colby.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
