Wild, Lucille E. (Maxam) (4 FEB 1932 - 15 NOV 2012)
Lucille E. Wild, age 80, of Abbotsford, passed away unexpectedly Thursday,
November 15, 2012 as a result of a vehicle accident.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012,
at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Dan Hackel will
officiate.
A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 19, at the Maurina
Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford with a rosary at 4 p.m. and on Tuesday at
the church in Abbotsford from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will
follow the service at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in the Town of Little Black.
Lucille was born February 4, 1932, to Mason and Elsie (Ludwig) Maxam in Medford.
After graduating from Medford High School she attended Medford Normal School and
received a degree in teaching. She taught at a school house in the Township of
Holton and later was a substitute teacher.
Lucille and Jack Wild were joined in marriage on June 20, 1956, at St. Louis
Catholic Church in Dorchester. They lived in the town of Little Black in Taylor
County. In 1961, Jack and Lucille started the Abbotsford Oil Co. in Abbotsford.
They moved to Abbotsford in 1963, where they continued to be the owner/operators
of the Abbotsford Oil Co. for 42 years. Lucille was the bookkeeper for the
business.
She was a member of St. Bernard’s Altar Society, Abbotsford Library Board, and a
past member of the Marathon County Library Board. Lucille was an avid gardener
and she enjoyed wood working. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lucille is survived by her two children, Debra Wild-Yaron of Abbotsford and
Donald (Cheryl) Wild of Weston; her grandchildren, Jason (Sheila) Wild, Zach
(Tara) Wild, Andy Wild, and DJ Wild; two great grandchildren, Kendall and
Cooper; and one sister, Dorothy (Gordon) Schultz of Mesa, Ariz.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jack.
