At a recent meeting of the board of directors the North Hendren Cooperative
Dairy company some changes were made in the officials and some are the old
officers whose terms did not expire as yet. Following are the officers: Louis
Landini, president; Walter Krultz, vice president; Mrs. Henry Janezich,
bookkeeper and secretary; Frank Govek, director; Lyle Baltus, director; and
Henry Trybula, treasurer and trustee.
The Willard Homemakers met last Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. Louis
Matkovich. Mrs. Donna McFarlane was elected president; Mrs. Frank Govek, vice
president; Mrs. Louis Matkovich, secretary-treasurer; Mrs. John Lesar, health
chairman. The project was a health talk given by Mrs. Frank Koschak. A dessert
lunch was served by the hostess. The next meeting will be held in September at
the home of Mrs. Frank Govek.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kirn and family, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Matkovich and son of
Withee, and Mrs. Theresa Matkovich were dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Matkovich.
Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Champa and family of Rochester, Minn., were weekend
guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Champa.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Auman and son of Glenview, Ill., were guests here at the
Ignac Gabrovic home and also in Neillsville with his mother, Mrs. Angela Auman,
last week.
Mrs. Vernon Dergance of Lake View, Ill., was a guest here recently of relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Champa and family of Chicago, Ill., visited at the Louis
Champa home here and in Stanley with her relatives last week.
Mrs. Louis Champa has returned from Racine where she visited relatives.
Mrs. Margaret Bergant has returned home from Milwaukee, where she spent the
winter with her son-in-law and daughter.
A bake sale was held last Sunday at the church hall. It was sponsored by the
Mary Help Society K.S.K.J.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walker and Frank Pozega, Sr., drove to St. Paul, Minn.,
last Wednesday. They were accompanied home by Sp. 4 and Mrs. Dave Pozega and
daughter, Lisa, who spent several days here with Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pozega, Sr.,
and family, and also attended the funeral of James Boyer. The Dave Pozegas are
from Toole, Utah.
