Kaiser, Lawrence Anthony (24 AUG 1942 - 10 AUG 2012)
Lawrence Anthony Kaiser, 69, of Jump River, quietly passed away in his sleep, at
his cabin on Lake Tiffany, on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012. He was born on August 24,
1942 to the late Anthony and Verna (Lemke) Kaiser. Larry grew up in the
Milwaukee area, graduating from Menomonee Falls High in 1961. There he was
called "Buckets" and was a star on the football team and even played a little
semi-pro ball later.
Larry started working for Western Electric and then went into the Army to serve
his country. After the service he moved to the Princeton area working with a
construction company and hauling milk as a second job. Later he worked and
retired after 30 years, with a perfect attendance record, for Speed Queen at
Ripon. Later, after he met Kathleen, he helped her start the Jump River Realty
LLC real estate office in October 2000.
Larry had a passion for the outdoors, especially grouse hunting, the gun deer
season, and fishing, especially for catfish. He enjoyed his vegetable garden and
canning, and loved flowers but his favorites were wildflowers. Larry loved and
enjoyed spending time with his family, and always had his dog, Tiffany, a black
Newfoundland, walking by his side. She was his companion, traveling with him
everywhere in his truck.
Larry is survived by his special love of 16 years, Kathleen Beilfuss of Jump
River; his children, James (Tanya) Kaiser of Reedsburg, Todd (Julie) Klawitter
of Dalton, Robert (Kristi) Klawitter of Sun Prairie, Debra (Art) Davenport of
Wisconsin Dells and Lori (Gary) Witt of Portage; 13 grandchildren; three
great-grandchildren; godson, Bill Benz of Hixon; and one sister, Fran Becker of
Germantown. Kathleen's children, Jake (Catherine) Beilfuss of Medford, Christine
(Ken) Conlon of Clintonville, and Debbie (Jeff) Jirikowic of Appleton, and six
grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Anthony, and
a brother-in-law, Donald Becker.
Services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Jump River Community Center in
Jump River (Gilman). Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 1 p.m. until
the time of service at 2:30 p.m., with Father Gerard Willger officiating,
followed by military graveside service and burial at Mount Nebo Cemetery.
The Gilman Funeral Home assisted the family.
