Conklin, Connie (Marriage - 27 April 1968)

Connie Conklin of Thorp and Edward Irish of Grayslake, Ill., exchanged wedding vows Saturday in the Methodist Church in Thorp. The Rev. Mr. Christenson performed the double ring nuptial ceremony. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Jack Conklin of Thorp, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Irish of Grayslake, Ill.

The bride entered the church with her father, attired in a white Irish lace gown, trimmed with pearls and rhinestones. The gown featured a long, scalloped lace train. She carried a cascade of white carnations and red roses.

The maid-of-honor was Miss Linda Irish, sister of the groom, of Grayslake, Ill. Mrs. George Reed of Hurley sister of the bride was bridesmaid. They wore blue lace gowns and each carried a carnation bouquet.

Allen Alger was best man; groomsman was George Reed of Hurley; ushers were William Irish and Arnie Lehith.

Ringbearer was Danny Williamson of Milwaukee. Junior bride was Tammy Hart of Milwaukee.

Mrs. John Paff, accompanied by Mrs. Mathwig, sang.

The bride, a graduate of Career Academy in Milwaukee, is a medical assistant in the Stanley hospital. Mr. Irish attended Wausau Technical Institute and is employed at the Stanley Corporation in Stanley, where they will reside.
