Hancock, Judith Maxine (18 October 1935 - 15 January 2013)

Judith M. Hancock, 77, of Merrillan died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at the Neillsville Care and Rehabilitation Center, Neillsville.

Judith Maxine Hancock was born Oct. 18, 1935, in Belfield, ND, the daughter of Elwood and Corinne (Tuffs) Hickey. She graduated from Belfield High School. She was united in marriage to Lee Hancock June 18, 1956, in Belfield, ND. Together they moved to the Black River Falls area and farmed, and Lee worked for the DNR. They move to the Merrillan area and enjoyed living by the lake.

Judith enjoyed playing cards and Yahtzee, reading, watching TV and was a member of the Birthday Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Janice Hancock of Merrillan; a brother, Joel (Rae Ellen) Hickey of Black River Falls; two sisters, Joan Hickey of Merrillan and Janice Hlebechuk of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law, Ruth Hickey of Great Falls, MT; nine nieces and nephews and good friends, Rod and Jackie Burlingame of Merrillan.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee; brothers, James and John; and a sister, Jean.

A memorial service will be held for Judith at a later date.
