Mrs. John Altenburg Sr. and daughter Emma and Mrs. John
Altenburg Jr. and little daughter Lucile and Mrs. Fred Helm attended the Lindsey
Ladies Aid held at Mrs. Charles Altenburg’s last week Thursday in East Lynn.
They reported a very enjoyable time.
Albert Mar and Herman Krause have each purchased a new
piano.
Wood and bolts are coming in fast since the sleighing
started.
Mrs. Mondt has sold her farm to A. Reisner.
Those who have had sand bees the past week are Albert
and Gust Marg, E. Neinas, C. Grottke, F. Helm, Wm. Warner and Mrs. Steinbach.
Miss Martha Nitschke is visiting at the Ridge this week.
Mrs. John Breseman and Lattie Krause went to Neillsville
last Friday.
Mrs. Jos. Wirtz and daughter Lena and Lena Cole were
shopping in Marshfield Tuesday.
Mrs. R.T. Norman was a business caller at Neillsville
Thursday.
Mrs. J. Tremelling attended the Embroidery Club meeting
at her mother’s last week Wednesday.
The Fred Hankey and Richard Gotter and John Schafer
families spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Will Hubing.
The Carnation Art Club held with Mrs. John Altenburg Sr.
and Daughter was one of the largest meetings in the history of the Club.
Mrs. Fred Hankey will entertain next month.
Mr. Rustad of Nasonville was accepted a position with
O.W. Becker.
Mrs. Wm. Foot and little niece and a nephew, Alice and
Ellis after nearly a two months visit with her father Wm. Yorksten of this place
and relatives at Neillsville left Monday for her home in Langdon, S.D.
There will be a dance at the town hall the 28th
of this month.
Mrs. R.C. Norman spent Sunday at Chas. Brooks north of
Granton.
Ed Ure came down from Fremont and spent Sunday at home.
Those from here who attended the lecture at Granton
Monday evening were Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Washburn and daughter Hazel, Arthur and
Lilli Opelt, Leo and Joseph Sternitzky and Carl Opelt assisting in the
orchestra.
