Kopp, Suzie (Marriage - 11 May 1968)
Suzie Kopp, daughter of Harry Kopp of Rt. 1 Curtiss, became the bride Saturday
of Timothy Schmitt, son of Mrs. Gertrude Schmitt of Arpin, in a double ring
ceremony performed Saturday by the Rev. John Pinion in St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Colby.
One hundred fifty guests witnessed as Mr. Kopp gave his daughter in marriage.
The bride wore a gown styled with an A-line skirt with appliqués of lace.
Organza over faille fashioned the empire bodice. Her detachable train was edged
with L’Anse lace. An organza flower and petal headpiece, accented with sequins
held her three-tiered bouffant cathedral-length veil. She carried red and white
roses with flowing streamers.
Her matron of honor was Mrs. Dennis Hansen of Peru, Ind. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Dennis Ludwig and Mrs. James Hoffman, both of Colby.
Best man was Randy Kocian of Unity. Groomsmen were Dave Bartz and Arden Peterson
of Abbotsford. Ushers were Duane Ludwig and Linus Schmit. Ringbearer was Alan
Schmitt.
Mr. and Mrs. Schmitt are living at 1908 Estes. Chicago, Ill.
