Mrs. Raymond Stuve, accompanied by Mmes. Matie Smith, Kate Dignin and Maude
Newton were in Eau Claire Wednesday afternoon and also called on Mrs. Josie
Stanley in Altoona.
Mr. and Mrs. Ladimer Jarolimek and two children of Cicero, Ill., came Friday
night to stay until Sunday afternoon with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Jarolimek.
Mrs. Sharon Huff of Chicago spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Cullen Dignin.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Zimmerman of Ladysmith called Tuesday at the W. F. Hein home.
Mrs. Perle Pickett was taken to the Black River Falls hospital Thursday night to
have tests and treatment.
Carl Greub of Neillsville spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. John Greub.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe visited Sunday afternoon at the Don Schlei home in Eau
Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice and Mildred and Mrs. Bob Fitzmaurice and girls
were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Holub, near Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Al Raymond came home Thursday from their winter home in Florida.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jarolimek visited in Stevens Point Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Hilliard M. Russell of Edina, Minn., Mrs. Helene Nelson and Mrs.
Ruth Peterson of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Thane Joos and family of Alma
Center were dinner and afternoon guests Sunday of their mother, Mrs. Maude
Newton.
Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Hein received word that their son, Neil, and wife would be
flying here Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Hein were to meet them at the airport in
Black River Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Raymond and children of Holcombe were guests Sunday at the
home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Raymond.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierce of Neillsville called Monday at the Arnold Matti home
on their way to the John Zurowski home in Fairchild.
Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Kirby were weekend visitors at the home of their daughter,
Mrs. Everett Senske and family in St. Paul.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Johnson and family of Altoona and Mr. and Mrs. Darrel
Hardwick and children were guests Sunday of their mother, Mrs. Elgie Hardwick.
Mrs. Velma Enerson and Mary Jo of North Branch called Saturday afternoon at the
Arnold Matti home.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Adler of Eau Claire called Sunday evening at the Herb Adler
home. They also had called at the home of Mrs. Millie Staves and on the Lloyd
Schlichters.
Jim Duerkop came home Tuesday from his work in the Peace Corps and a bit of
traveling, tired, but happy to be home. It was a very happy Mother’s Day for his
mother, Mrs. Elmer Duerkop.
Mr. and Mrs. John Aebersold of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Janetta Prestebak and boys
of Rock Falls, Mr. and Mrs. William Aebersold and Richard Zimmerman were dinner
gusts Sunday of Mrs. Emma Gerber.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Staves and children of St. Paul were weekend guests at the
Lyle Newell and Donald Staves homes. Miss Christine Newell of St. Paul also was
a weekend guest of her parents.
Mr. and Mrs. John Aebersold and Mrs. Emma Gerber visited Saturday evening at the
Elmer Duerkop home.
Weekend guests at the Ted Polege home were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Johnson and
children of Appleton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bornowski and family, the Clarence
Buttkes of Milwaukee, the Harland Meyers of Cedar Falls and the Nerings of Eau
Claire. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Theiler and boys joined the group.
Ricky Hart was a hospital patient in Black River Falls from Thursday until
Sunday. He had an appendectomy and is coming along very well.
Mrs. Minnie Nelson attended a bridal shower in Eau Claire Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Janke and Mr. and Mrs. Micky McKivett and children of
Merrillan were guests Mother’s Day at the Harold Hart home.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zurthuf and Mr. and Mrs. Willis Spring of Monticello spent
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hart.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hefty and family called on his mother, Mrs. Marie Hefty, in
the Black River Falls hospital Sunday afternoon. She expected to return to the
home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Holman, Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett Smith of Spencer called Sunday at the home of his mother,
Mrs. Matie Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Terrell were weekend visitors at the Vaughn Ness home in
Rosemont, Minn., and on the way home called on her mother, Mrs. Lena larson, at
the Lawrence Kaufman home.
