Pieper, Frank (04 Oct 1877-16 Oct 1961)

Frank Pieper, Sr. died Monday October 16, at 8 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield of old age complications. The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning on Wednesday morning until noon Thursday when it will be taken to the Trinity Lutheran Church for burial services at 2 p.m. Rev. V. A. Ganz will officiate and burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Frank Pieper was born October 4, 1877 in Juneau and his first marriage to the former Lydia Assman took place at Hustisford in 1900.She died in 1918 and in 1920 he married the former Clara Ehlers in Neillsville. He received his education in the Lutheran Day School at Juneau and lived there until after his marriage when the couple came to Clark County and settled on a farm in the town of Beaver. They lived there until 1946 when they moved to the city of Loyal. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. His wife survives him.

Other survivors include four sons, Walter, Marshfield; John, Reedsburg; Clarence, Loganville & Rev. Frank Pieper, Kimball, South Dakota; two daughters, Mrs. Herman (Verna) Knuth, Mauston; and Mrs. Anthony (Edna) Cherney, Milwaukee; two step-daughters, Mrs. Francis (Bertha) Cook, Loyal, and Mrs. Frank ( Evevlyn) Bast, Milwaukee; one brother, Carl, Clyman; two sisters, Mrs. Herman (Lena) Sell, Loyal, & Mrs. George (Mathilda) Koerner, Curtiss; twelve grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, and 20 step-grandchildren. One son, Rueben, a step-son, Robert, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
