The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benedict Braun, Rosella Catherine Braun, a 1958
graduate Central State College, Stevens Point, was married to Reginald Patrick
Buran, an attorney practicing in Manitowoc, Saturday morning, October 28 at St.
Anthony’s Catholic Church by Rev. Norbert E. King.
The altar was decorated with spray arrangements of lilac and white feathered
chrysanthemums and the Nuptial High Mass was sung by the church choir under the
direction of Mrs. Edward Trunka.
Miss Braun was presented to the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Buran of Manitowoc by
her father in a floor length gown of silk taffeta with an elongated fitted
bodice and bouffant skirt. Her portrait neckline was outlined with French lace
appliqués encrusted with pearls and tiny rosebuds. The bouffant skirt was
fashioned with wide overlapping panels at the back and the billowing veil of
nylon illusion was secured to a queen’s crown of tiny rosebuds and pearls. She
carried a cascade bouquet of white feathered mums centered with three white
orchids.
Matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Joseph Picconi of Milwaukee and bridesmaids
were Joan Dupuis of Waukesha and Sharon Braun, Chicago. They were dressed
identically in street-length gowns of purple and lilac with fitted bodices of
chiffon purple velvet. Styled with scoop necklines and bouffant bell-shaped
skirts of lilac satin, each ensemble was completed with lilac feathered toque
hats secured with halo veils of silk illusion. Each held a colonial bouquet of
lilac and white feathered mums.
Best man was Al Lutterman of Manitowoc and Lloyd Elfner, Madison and Tom Braun,
River Falls were groomsmen. Ronald Braun, River Falls and Dan Scherer, Manitowoc
ushered.
Following the ceremony, a luncheon was served in the church parlors for members
of the immediate families and close friends. A wedding reception was held there
during the afternoon.
The bride has taught school in Manitowoc and this past year in Waukesha.
Attorney Buran was graduated in 1958 from the Marquette Law School in Milwaukee.
Following a honeymoon trip to Miami, Florida, the couple will make their home in
Manitowoc.
