For her wedding, Miss Bremer chose a floor length bridal gown of Chantilly lace with a jewel trimmed modified Sabrina neckline, Basque waist and long sleeves.  The full hoop skirt of lace over taffeta and nylon net ruffles featured a front panel and was completed by all around tiers of lace and tulle edged with iridescent sequins.

Her fingertip veil was attached to a tear type crown of simulated miniature pearls and crystal head trim.  She carried a cascade arrangement of two lavender orchids surrounded by white feathered carnations and stephanotis.

Judy Zettler, was the maid of honor, Rachael Oestrich was bridesmaid and the bride’s sister, was the junior bridesmaid.  The young ladies wore Nile green street length frocks with lace bodices featuring bateau necklines and three quarter sleeves.  The fully gathered skirts of silk organza were completed with deep hems.  Each carried a cascade similar to the bride’s, using gladiola flouts surrounded by white feathered carnations and stephanotis.

A dusty rose silk jacket dress ensemble was worn by the bride’s mother and the groom’s mother was seen in a light blue linen jacket dress.

Each mother was presented with a corsage of roses and stephanotis.

Attending the groom were Roger Feldt, Loyal, as best man and Brian Johnston, Loyal, a brother of the groom, as groomsman.  Ushers were Vaughn Seeman, a cousin of the groom of Loyal and Roger Scherer, a cousin of the bride from Greenwood.

Following the ceremony a dinner was served in the church dining hall.  A reception and buffet supper were served at the home of the bride’s parents.  A dance was held at the Silver Dome Ballroom at Neillsville.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Johnston are 1962 graduates of Loyal High School.  Mrs. Johnston has been employed at Tony Knott Insurance Co. and her husband is stationed with the US Navy in Norfolk, Virginia.  The couple will make their new home in Norfolk.
