The bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta with a jewel trimmed scalloped Sabrina neckline and long sleeves.  The bouffant skirt was fashioned with all around tiers of lace with a chapel sweep back.  Her elbow length veil was attached to a crown of pearls and sequins.

Dresses of yellow silk organza over taffeta styled with scalloped necklines and deep pleated skirts with matching bow clip veils were worn by the bridal aides who were Mrs. Paul Jirak, Waucoma, Iowa, a sister of the bride, matron of honor and bridesmaids, Mrs. James Heidewald, Chicago, a sister of the groom, Nancy Milz, Loyal, a sister of the bride and Delores Kramer, Greenwood.  They carried cascade arrangements of yellow carnations and daisies.

Christine Dow, Chicago, a niece of the groom, was flower girl and ring bearer was Timothy Milz, Loyal, a brother of the bride.

A dinner was served in the church dining hall and a reception and supper at the home of the bride’s parents.  A dance was held in their honor at Riplinger.

The couple are graduates of Loyal High School, the bride in 1961 and the groom in 1957.  Mr. Welsh is employed at Pathfinder in Spencer.

Out of town wedding guests came from Cresco, Iowa; Waterloo, Iowa; Dubuque, Iowa; Chicago, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Medford, Neillsville, Spencer and Greenwood; Waucoma, Iowa; and Dewar, Iowa.
