A home in Loyal awaits Mr. and Mrs. James Welsh upon
their return from a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, New York.
The former Patricia Kathryn Milz and James Henry Welsh
were married Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church by Rev.
Norbert E. King. They are the son
and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Welsh, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Milz,
Loyal.
The bride wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace
over taffeta with a jewel trimmed scalloped Sabrina neckline and long sleeves.
The bouffant skirt was fashioned with all around tiers of lace with a
chapel sweep back. Her elbow length
veil was attached to a crown of pearls and sequins.
Dresses of yellow silk organza over taffeta styled with
scalloped necklines and deep pleated skirts with matching bow clip veils were
worn by the bridal aides who were Mrs. Paul Jirak, Waucoma, Iowa, a sister of
the bride, matron of honor and bridesmaids, Mrs. James Heidewald, Chicago, a
sister of the groom, Nancy Milz, Loyal, a sister of the bride and Delores
Kramer, Greenwood. They carried
cascade arrangements of yellow carnations and daisies.
Best man was James Heidewald, Chicago, a brother in law
of the groom. Groomsmen were Paul
Jirak, Waucoma, Iowa, a brother in law of the bride, and Don Hawker, Loyal.
Ushering duties were performed by Robert Shea, Cresco, Iowa, a cousin of
the bride and Richard Heubauer, Minneapolis.
Christine Dow, Chicago, a niece of the groom, was flower
girl and ring bearer was Timothy Milz, Loyal, a brother of the bride.
A dinner was served in the church dining hall and a
reception and supper at the home of the bride’s parents.
A dance was held in their honor at Riplinger.
The couple are graduates of Loyal High School, the bride
in 1961 and the groom in 1957. Mr.
Welsh is employed at Pathfinder in Spencer.
Out of town wedding guests came from Cresco, Iowa;
Waterloo, Iowa; Dubuque, Iowa; Chicago, Illinois; Minneapolis, Minnesota;
Medford, Neillsville, Spencer and Greenwood; Waucoma, Iowa; and Dewar, Iowa.
