Malinowski, Benjamin (4 FEB 1886 - 15 JUN 1964)
Benjamin Malinowski, 78, passed away June 15th, 1964 at St. Mary's Hospital,
Wausau, of pneumonia.
Mr. Malinowski, a retired railroad man, was born Feb. 4, 1886 in Europe. He came
to America in 1891, residing in the following places: Withee, Minneapolis and
Wausau. Malinowski farmed in the town of Hixon (Clark Co., Wis.) until 1940, and
later worked for the railroad in Minneapolis.
Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig's Chapel, Thorp, June 17. Rev. Edward
A. Maselewicz officiated at the 9:30 a.m. service and burial was in the New St.
Hedwig's Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Thomas Polnaszek, John Zdrojkowski, John
Papierniak, Adam Lesniewski, Peter Lukas and Joseph Tobola.
Surviving are six nephews, Malin Malinowski, Thorp, Joseph, Edward and Frank
Wojtkiewicz, Chicago, Michael White, Mich., Louis Wojtkiewicz, Thorp; eight
nieces, Mrs. Ed Boguski and Mrs. Harry Staszak, Green Bay, Mrs. Frank Nowak,
Princetown, Mrs. Thomas Ferenc, Harvey, Ill., Mrs. John Baler and Mrs. Ben
Wiernasz, Thorp, Harriet White, Chicago, and Mrs. Edw. Wojt, Anacortes, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Malinowski,
brother, Anton and sister (Elizabeth) Mrs. Ig. Wojtkiewicz.
