Strzok, Edmund Leonard (24 AUG 1925 - 2 JAN 2013)
Edmund Leonard Strzok, 87, formerly of Stanley, died on Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Our
Lady of Victory Hospital in Stanley.
He was born on August 24, 1925 in Thorp, the son of the late Ignatz and
Genevieve (Polnaszek) Strzok.
Ed grew up in the Gilman area and moved to Stanley in 1972 while working for CRI
for many years. He later worked for various farmers in the area. In 2005 he
moved to Thorp to reside at Oakbrook Health and Rehab Center where he enjoyed
being with his many friends.
Edmund is survived by two sisters, Dolores (Mike) Michalek of Chicago, Ill., and
Marcella (George) Zednek of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, Jerry (Eleanore)
Strzok of Buffalo Grove, Ill., and John Strzok of Chippewa Falls; and many
nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister in infancy;
and a nephew, Michael.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Jan. 5 at the Plombon Funeral Home in
Stanley, with Father William Felix officiating. Burial followed in Holy Family
Catholic Cemetery in Stanley.
