Dudley, Rene (Marriage - 1 June 1968)

Marriage vows were repeated Saturday at noon by Rene Dudley of Rt. 1 Granton, and Thomas Poziombke of Anchorage, Alaska, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. St. Mary’s choir sang for the ceremony and mass during which the bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Bartz of Granton, was given in marriage by her father to Thomas Poziombke, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Poziombke of Rt. 1 Neillsville.

The bride wore a full floor-length gown of Chantilly lace with a sequined border of lace around the neckline and skirt tiers ending in a cathedral train. Her bouffant veil of English illusion was attached to a borealis and crystal crown. She carried a cascade bouquet of cymbidium orchids with red escort roses and ivy.

Wearing a floor-length cage-style gown of aqua georgette over taffeta, with a beaded cowl neckline was the maid-of-honor, Miss Sharon Lamb of Hortonville. Miss Caryl Poziombke, bridesmaid, was in the same attire, as was Miss Cindy Voigt of Loyal as junior attendant. Their veils billowed from crowns of lace daisies and seed pearls. Each carried a cascade arrangement of cymbidium orchids and foliage.

Jerome Poziombke of Atlanta, Ga., served as bestman while Richard Schmidt of Neillsville served as groomsman. Junior attendant was Kenneth Bartz of Granton. Ushers were Gary Bartz and Franklin Boh.

Janet Bartz of Granton was the flower girl and Debbie Bartz, also of Granton, was the miniature bride.

The bride is a 1965 graduate of Granton High School and has been employed as a receptionist at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville; Mr. Poziombke is transportation agent for Northwest Airlines in Anchorage, Alaska, where they will live on their return from a wedding trip to an undisclosed destination.
