Jackson, Carolyn Ruth (Marriage - 1 June 1968)
Christ Lutheran Cathedral in Eau Claire was the setting for the double ring
ceremony Saturday uniting in marriage Carolyn Ruth Jackson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. C. R. Stocks of Eau Claire, and Darwin R. Smith of Eau Claire, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Bergen Smith of Neillsville. Dean Brent performed the nuptial ceremony
at 4 p.m.
The bride given in marriage by Mr. Stocks was attired in a street-length white
and pastel green taffeta dress with lace cuffs. She carried a bouquet of yellow
roses.
Mrs. Barbara Ross, in yellow chiffon, was matron-of-honor. She carried a bouquet
of green carnations.
Duane Smith of Kenosha was bestman.
Twenty five guests attended a reception held at a restaurant. The bride is a
sophomore at Wisconsin State University-Eau Claire, and the groom is a senior
there. They will make their home at 1250 Graham Ave. Eau Claire.
