Silver Wedding Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huber celebrated their silver wedding anniversary Sunday,
June 8, when they entertained members of their immediate families at a dinner.
In the evening about 75 relatives, friends, and neighbors gathered at the home.
The time was spent playing [unreadable] head, nine tables being in play. Mrs.
Alvin Martin and Rev. A. C. Stapel received first prizes; Mrs. Edward Huber the
traveling prize. Lunch was served.
Mrs. Huber’s mother, Mrs. Tillie Lynn Tucker presented her grand[unreadable],
and Mrs. John Korntved presented the honored couple with decorated wedding cakes
and Ju[?]y mo[?]er with a corsage.
The Rev. Staple gave a talk
Charles Huber and Lorraine Monthi were married Jun 8, 1922, at St. John’s
Lutheran Church, north of Spencer. For a few years they lived on the Monthi
farm, and since have resided in the village. They have two children, a son,
Willard, who at present is at home but since his discharge from services has
attended the University of Wisconsin, and a daughter, Mrs. Jerry Tucker, who
resides here.
Guests from out of town attending were Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Martin and Mr. and
Mrs. Orville Taylor and daughter, Dorchester.
The Record joins their many local friends in extending best wishes for many more
years of happy wedded life.
