College Notes (20 February 2013)
The following area students have been named to the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater dean’s list (grade-point average (GPA) 3.4 or above) for
the fall semester of 2012; Brett Boeck of Chili and Jordan Toburen of Greenwood.
Michael Apolinario of Neillsville was among the December 2012 graduates of the
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree
in biology, with a biomedical science concentration.
The following area students have been named to the Concordia University
Wisconsin, Mequon, fall dean’s list (Minimum 3.5 GPA) for the first semester of
the 2012-2013 academic year.
Neillsville - Trista Hribar, junior, computer science-information technology
major; Tanya Tarcsay, junior, business communication major.
Owen - May Junk, senior, athletic training major.
Katherine Gokey of Owen earned the highest academic honors for the fall 2012
semester at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. She was named to the
chancellor’s list by earning a 4.0 GPA during the semester. She is majoring in
reclamation, environment and conservation.
Jonathan Nosko, a general engineering major from Owen, was named to the 2012
fall semester dean’s list (minimum 3.5 GPA) of the University of
Wisconsin-Platteville.
Rebeckah Houser, a senior at Bethel University, St. Paul, MN, has been named to
the dean’s list (Minimum 3.6 GPA) for academic excellence for the fall 2012
semester. She is the daughter of Jim and Lynn Houser of Dorchester.
