Switalski, Tony (? - 15 FEB 1964)
Tony Switalski of 4821 28th Ave. South, Minneapolis, Minn., died Saturday, Feb.
15th, 1964 at Ft. Snelling Veterans Hospital.
He was a son of Frank and Bernice Switalski, pioneers who came to Thorp (Clark
Co., Wis.) in 1890, and resided in Thorp for about thirty years.
Tony Switalski was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion
Post No. 234. Resident of Minneapolis for forty-five years, Mr. Switalski was in
the sheet metal and heating business for many years, until his retirement.
Left to mourn him are his widow Mabel, four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Mary
Zukowski, Mrs. Josephine Zaborowski of Chicago, Mrs. Helen Bittner of East
Chicago, Ind., Mrs. Vina Slatalla of Elmhurst, Ill., Frank Switalski and Leo
Switalski of Kenosha, Wis., and cousin Tony Glamkowski of Ely, Minn. All of the
family attended the burial. Other out of town relatives who attended the burial
were Mrs. Switalski's brother and sister; Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Rydmark of
Ashland, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Ted Rydmark of Ely, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rydmark
of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Ethel Straug of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. Leslie Prit from
St. Charles, Ill., who has served in World War I with Mr. Switalski. Burial was
in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Feb. 19th, 1964.
