Salvack, Peter (31 JAN 1909 - 27 FEB 1964)
Peter Salvack, 55, a resident of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), died at
St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield Thursday afternoon, Feb. 27, 1964, following
a heart operation. Mr. Salvack had been bothered with an enlarge heart for
several eyars, but never was confined because of illness. His death came as a
severe shock to relatives and friends.
He was born on Jan. 31, 1909 at Thorp, Wis., and attended the local schools.
Growing to manhood on a farm, he continued as a farmer on his own place in the
Town of Reseburg. Four years ago he became employed at the Kinas Bar in Thorp,
but continued to operate hsi farm with the assistance of his son.
On June 1, 1935 he was united in marriage to Bernice Milewski at St. hedwig's
Catholic Church at Thorp.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Kenneth; one daughter, Louis of
Milwaukee; one brother, Joe Salvack of Detroit, Mich.; and four sisters, Julia,
Mrs. Andrew Strzok of Thorp, Carrie, Mrs. Joe Przesmicki and Emily, Mrs. John
Kukielka of Minneapolis, and Mary, Mrs. Peter Pabich of Thorp.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Edward A. Masalewicz at St. Hedwig's
Chapel in the city at ten o'clock Saturday, Feb. 29th, with interment in New St.
Hedwig's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Papierniak, Milwaukee, Henry Pabich,
Peter Panek and Hermiss Schmidt, Thorp, Edward Strzok, Chicago, and Dick Plansky
of Minneapolis.
Relatives and friends who attended the service were from Lac du Flambeau,
Milwaukee, Chicago, Greenwood, Neillsville, Owen, Withee, Lublin, Gilman,
Marshfield, Wausau and Madison.
