Prock, Edward G. (28 March 1883- 1968)

Funeral services were held in Owen Saturday morning for Edward G. Prock, 85, whose body was found in the Black River near the Highway 10 Bridge in Neillsville late last Wednesday. Prock, a resident of Memorial Home apparently had wandered away from the home.

A retired Owen business man, Prock had made his home in that city from 1937 until 1966, when he went to the home to live. Prior to going to Owen, he had farmed in the Neillsville area. He was born in rural Neillsville March 28, 1883. He was married to the late Ottellia Poppe on June 5, 1910. She died in 1961.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Rockford, Ill., and Alois of Owen; a daughter, Mrs. Lila Crawford of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
