Mr. and Mrs. Lee Kapfer and her mother, Mrs. Margaret Haberle, left Friday for
Rudd, Ia., where on Sunday they attended a reunion of the Schultz family held at
the home of Mrs. Haberle’s daughter, Mrs. Bert Fields. Approximately 65 from
Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Iowa attended.
The United Methodist churches of Neillsville and Granton and the United Church
of Christ have been conducting vacation Bible school the last two weeks in the
United Church.
Judge Bruce Beilfuss of Madison visited his mother, Mrs. Elsie Beilfuss, last
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Galstad and family visited last weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Haralsrud in Taylor, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Harnisch, in Osseo.
Marvin Hemp and his son, Matt, returned last weekend from a fishing trip in
Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Haines entertained 50 relatives and friends Sunday evening,
in honor of the graduation of their daughter, Betty Ann, from Neillsville High
School. Guests were from Greenwood, Granton, Neillsville, Stockbridge, Rockford,
Ill., and Centerville, S. D.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Neuhaus of St. Paul, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Vicor Neuhaus of
Mequon, were weekend guests of Mrs. Leonard Wachholz.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Burkart and baby of Eau Claire spent a day last week with
her mother, Mrs. Irene Drescher, and brother, Wayne, of rural Greenwood.
Mrs. Luberta Shore of St. Louis, is leaving today (Thursday) for her home after
spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Maxine Schmidt, and family.
Marc Heuer of Janesville is spending this week with his grandmother, Mrs. Helen
Smith. Marc will be joined this weekend by his sister and brother, Becky and
Kurt, who will stay with their grandmother while their parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Edwin Heuer, complete moving from Janesville to Port Edwards.
