Berger Men’s Wear Store (Sale - 13 June1968)
The Clothing Cupboard, Inc., men’s and boys’ wear organization operating stores
in Whitehall and Black River Falls has purchased the Berger Men’s Wear Store in
Neillsville.
The store presently is open for business; but will be completely restocked and
remodeled in the ensuing months. The accent will be on quality lines of clothing
and on modern styles.
The transaction was completed Monday morning, following two weeks of
negotiations.
Principals of clothing Cupboard, Inc. are Keith Ferries of Black River Falls,
and “Cap” Person of Eau Claire, both of whom have had long experience in men’s
ready-to-wear and both of whom have their fingers on the pulse of the men’s wear
retail market through associations with a national manufacturer.
